Volkswagen has unveiled three new models in Malaysia to provide class-leading products at affordable prices for the Malaysians market.

Volkswagen has unveiled three new models – Jetta, Passat and Cross Touran – in Malaysia to provide class-leading products at affordable prices for the Malaysians market.

The Jetta includes a five-star Euro-NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme) safety rating and is equipped with a traction control system, electronic differential lock and six airbags.

The Euro-NCAP five-star rating was also awarded to the Passat, which is equipped with the rest-assist drowsiness detection system that alerts the driver, according to Borneo Post.

In addition, safety characteristics also include three three-point seat belts for the rear as well as the trailer roll stability programme.

The Jetta is equipped with the company’s climatronic air-conditioning system as well as the park distance control (PDC) for the front and rear.

The Jetta has a boot space of 510 litres, and the engine gives a superior torque of 240 Newton metre (Nm) that will be available between 1,500 revolutions per minute (rpm) and 4,500 rpm.

COmbined with features and gadgets, the Passat is powered by only a 1.8-litre turbocharged engine as well as with a torque of 250Nm that kicked in from 1,500rpm.
