The Caring Mother.

Michael Learns to Rock (also known as MLTR) are a Danish pop-soft rock band that performs songs in English. Formed in 1988, the band has sold over 11 million records worldwide, mainly in Asia, and in addition, another 6 million or more paid downloads for their single “Take Me To Your Heart” which was awarded “Most downloaded single of the year 2006”. They have produced seven studio albums as well as many live and greatest hits albums, and are currently producing their eighth studio album, which will release on 11 August 2011. MLTR have won many awards and have earned Gold and Platinum status for their records in many countries, as well as the “Gold Preis Award” from RSH, Germany and “The Best Performing Act of the Year” at the SEA Grammy Awards in Singapore. The band has attributed its success in Asia to a clean-living image and singing in English as a second language.
During the peak of their popularity, in the mid-90’s, MLTR have been described by critics to be “as good (if not better) a band as any current big name group out of America or the UK.”
According to their record label releases, their sound is “the perfect balance of a Scandinavian glow and the international pop song that has been instrumental in forming the compelling sound of the band”, though the lead singer and song writer Jascha Richter disagrees with this, maintaining that the music defies geographical categorization.
The milky way upon the
Heavens
Is twinkling just for you
And mr. moon he came by
To say goodnight to you
I’ll sing for you i’ll
Sing for mother
We’re praying for the world
And for the people everywhere
Gonna show them all we care
Chorus:
Oh my sleeping child the world’s so wild
But you’ve build your own paradise
That’s one reason why I’ll cover you sleeping child
If all the people around
The world
They had a mind like yours
We’d have no fighting and no wars
There would be lasting peace on earth
If all the kings and all
The leaders
Could see you here this way
They would hold the earth in their arms
They would learn to watch you play
Chorus:
Oh my sleeping child the world’s so wild
But you’ve build your own paradise
That’s one reason why I’ll cover you sleeping child
I’m gonna cover my
Sleeping child
Keep you away from the world so wild
