The student affairs’ senior assistant of SK Beris Panchor was gunned down gangland-style while leaving the school in his car only a short distance away from its main gate here today.
Hashim Mat Zain, 43, was found with three gunshot wounds on his body by villagers after his car crashed into the steps of a home about 300m away from the school in the 1.40pm incident.
State police chief Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman said four shots had been fired at the car, three of which went through the windscreen and the other smashed the glass window on the driver’s side.
“There are three gunshot wounds on the victim’s body and a .38 slug was found on the driver’s seat,” he said in a short-messaging service.
