myChef Invites Bloggers to Flaunt their Culinary Talent

myChef hits the blogosphere with its inaugural Gourmet Blog Experience contest which runs from the 1st to 31st of August 2012. Having five reputable chefs as its brand ambassadors, myChef prides itself with 14 meal variations that are heavily inspired by Malay, Nyonya, Asian, and Western cuisines.

The myChef ready-to-serve cuisines were created based on popular demands, and the chef’s signature dishes. Among some of the cuisines available in the market include Chef Florence Tan’s Ayam Pongteh, Kari Ayam Nyonya, and Ikan Gerang Assam, and Dato’ Chef Ismail’s mouth-watering Ayam Kalio, Semur Daging Betawi, and Gulai Udang Serai. Meanwhile, Chef Zainol brings us her popular Butter Chicken Makhani, Mughlai Chicken Briyani, and Beef Keema Masala, while Chef Zam shares his signature dish of Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Spaghettini, and Cape Malay Curry.

Riding on the social media momentum, myChef is expecting over a hundred bloggers to re-create their own gourmet experience based on any of the existing myChef products. Bloggers are required to feature the box of the dish they are going to re-create as proof of purchase and blog about their new recreation dish in the most creative way. They are then required to share their blog link on the myChef’s Facebook page with a 15 word description of the dish. The bloggers are also encouraged to promote their entries to their followers.

A panel of judges will then shortlist the most creative entries with the most ‘likes’, and those entries will then be presented and judged by the five celebrity chefs at a dinner session organized by myChef. Amongst all the shortlisted participants, five winners will walk away with a grand prize of RM2,000 and myChef products worth of RM500 each, while 10 consolation winners will receive RM500 and myChef products worth RM100. Winning entries will be judged based on the originality, creativity, health value, dish presentation, contestant personality, and presentation skills that are shown by participating bloggers.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Flavor Innovation, Encik Fairuz Abdullah “We are looking forward to see some creative work by our fellow Malaysians, and this will be the first of many contests which will be organized by myChef”.

Also looking forward towards this contest would be myChef’s latest ambassador Ms.Ezani Farhana Monoto who is the winner of the 1st MasterChef Malaysia. Ezani will also be one of the judges for this contest together with the other four existing brand ambassadors. “I hope this contest inspires more young people, to come out and share their passion in cooking. I am extremely excited to see the outcome of this contest, and will be keeping a close eye on the entries”, shared Ezani in a recent discussion.
