Locally captured is a mini series of interviews with various local photographers that has the purpose of exposing more local photography artworks to our viewers and readers. The series features 3 local photographers over a span of 3 episodes. For our very first episode, we had the opportunity to sit down with Jeremy Choy from rice | photo

Jeremy Choy is a professional photographer that does portrait, wedding and event photography, he is also a part time filmmaker. He is a well known icon among the Youtube community, he has worked with Youtubers like Dan Khoo, dmingthing, Ryan & Sylvia and Night Owl Cinematics.

He has also won quite a number of awards for his exceptional photographs. In 2012, one of his photographs were shortlisted in the Maybank Photography Award under the category of “Studio”. His portrait works have also helped him scored a feature in the Canon PhotoYou Magazine.

Jeremy’s excellent control of the lighting and his go with the flow attitude is what makes his photographs so genuine and raw. It captures the essential elements of the subject matter and viewers would be able to understand and connect the story just by looking at the photo itself.
