Yes! There will be a GLC Open Day that will be held from Friday to Sunday at the KL Convention Centre.
The event is to aim at creating awareness and increasing the public’s understanding of the role played by government-linked investment companies (GLICs) and government-linked companies (GLCs).
Beside that it will also highlight the contribution of these companies towards the development of the country economy.
It is organized by the Putrajaya Committee on GLC High Performance and will see the participation of five GLICs and 18 GLCs.
The theme of the event is the “Nation-Building, Touching Lives”, the open day will reflect the journey of the GLCs and GLCs through an exhibition of five clusters.
It also will illustrate on how GLCs interact with Malaysians on a daily basis, the procurement process and successful partnership models with GLCs as well as how these companies balance maximizing the profits with sustaining the environment.
The cluster will also show the various opportunities in terms of employment and education, and the way forward for the GLC Government Transformation Programmed.
Public forums, chaired by the heads of GLCs, will also be held to discuss the current issue.
There also activities for families, including a treasure hunt and colouring competition with attractive prizes to be won.
